MANCHESTER FOR KIBERA
This is a tournament that has been concurrently held in the
slums of Kibera. Both Boys and Girls are represented in various
categories, this are under 10, 13, and 16. Basically this is
done to bring/foster harmony and co-existence among the youth
and the community as a whole. This tournament helps to keep
the youth out of unwanted activities in the society these activities
are such as drug abuse, crimes, and immoral behaviors that can
lead to the spread of HIV/AIDS. This year’s tournament,
the Kibera combine team of under 16 emerged the winners after
edging out Olympic by a goal to nil. It was a major success
considering it was our second tournament to participate and
the first time to participate in Manchester for Kibera tournament.
The victory shows the dedication and the journey that we want
to travel together with all our cooperate sponsors. We thank
al the effort that were brought about to see the smooth participation
of the team. |
